Why Save The Date Magnets Are So Popular!

Nowadays, party planners, brides and grooms, and the like are implementing the use of save the dates as either save the date cards or as save the date magnets to all of their acquaintances. They are doing this to let the most important people in their lives know about an extremely upcoming celebration, whether it is a birthday, anniversary or a wedding, in their lives. If you’re looking to decide between cards or magnets, I am hoping this article will aide you with your decision.
Save the date magnets are extremely popular and are the contact medium of choice. Whether you're getting save the date wedding magnets for your upcoming nuptials, fridge magnets for a birthday party or a special anniversary, or cheap save the date magnets just for fun, they are the most popular selection for those in the midst of planning an event. If you’re wondering why, which I’m sure you are, here are the main reasons:

Refrigerator magnets are quirky and cute. Anyone throwing a party wants to make a good impression when they invite special people to a party or event. There is nothing cuter than well-made and funny save the date magnets.
They are a less expensive alternative. The amount of money spent these items has dropped so low, that they are extremely affordable. You can find so many excellent products for just about every budget, even getting cheap save the date wedding magnets for your wedding. And even though they are less costly, that doesn’t mean they are inferior in quality. For instance, save the date photo magnets are crystal clear and vivid and most invitees love to keep them as souvenirs.

You can make them fit you! If you make just simple paper invitations or save the dates, they usually don’t represent you or your upcoming celebration. Typically plain invites are just a generic, “You Are Invited” card. It’s much better to use a funny photo, add who, what, when and where about the celebration, and you are all dialed in!  Whether you're getting save the date magnets for weddings or party magnets, if you use your own photo and your own save the date wording, they are a direct representation of your style and personality.

People find them one-of-a-kind! Everyone has gotten the typical run-of-the-mill save the date cards and they are rarely impressed enough to save them. Save the date magnets can be done up in so many different ways, they are almost always placed up on the fridge and seen over and over again.
If you create funny save the date wedding magnets for instance, people will display them so they can show them off to everyone.

They are so much fun! I know whenever I get an invite in the mail, I get excited to the point of dying to know all the details of the event! If it’s just a plain paper card, I usually scrawl the info down on my scheduler then drop the card into the trash. This typically does not happen with save the date magnets. They go straight up onto my refrigerator.

Of course there are some negatives. Brides and grooms, party planers and the like all use them nowadays. Using them as wedding save the dates magnets, you might be looking a little commonplace for doing the same as a lot of people. The positive to this negative of using them, though, is that you can completely personalize them and make them fit with your style. Another suggested downside relates to people who try to do up their wedding save the date magnets without help from a professional. Many times they will come out substandard in quality and when their people get them, they look poorly made.

How come they work so well? As I mentioned before, I usually take a paper save the date card and, once I take down the main points off of it, it goes straight into the round file. If I do place it up on the icebox, I do it with a magnet anyway. Once it falls off, though, I get irritated and then trash it. I always stick the refrigerator magnets up and they hardly ever come off (except when they are holding up someone else’s card or party invite!). Also, I am perpetually reminded about the upcoming event every time I go to the fridge, which is about ten times a day.

To get the most out of save the dates, all you need to do is be sure you produce them to fit the trend of the festivity (like wedding magnets) and be sure they reflect who you are. Also, do not make them yourself. You might luck out and produce a passable product, but it is best to leave it to the professionals. This is their livelihood so you can trust them to do a good job! Hopefully I’ve been some help as you choose between save the date magnets or plain old paper invites for your upcoming party, wedding, anniversary, birthday, or other special event.
